Good Will Hinton Conversations: Is the U.S. No Longer A Christian Nation?

In order for this to be a conversation, I need your help and participation. While most people are comfortable with text comments on blogs, I think we miss out on the spoken word and hearing from real people. As such I would ask that you click the icon below to be connected to my voicemail to leave your thoughts on this week's topic. While I would prefer that you leave your name and where you are calling from, it isn't required.

I believe the historical

I believe the historical record shows the colonial Founding Fathers where largely Christian. The Constitutional Founding Fathers were generally much less Christian. They were largely deists and freemasons, first, and nominal Christians, second (John Witherspoon excepted) Call them the Masonic Columbians. So we have had a Christian a NATION (the populace) ruled by a Columbian STATE (the civil government). We still have a Columbian State, but the Nation's original Christianity is much diluted.
What passes for Christainity today is more psychological than Scriptural. What remains of historic orthodox Christianity - in its many streams - is a more a remnant than a majority.

Is America a Christian

Is America a Christian nation?

No, and never has been. What does that mean by the way?

When were we ever congealed by Christianity? (waiting, hoping, to be disabused of my agnosticism here).

I think we might be confusing generalizations made
by some historians and other public (religious) figures, with reality (kudos to responses 1 and 2).

I guess I'll have to start watching Liverpool when I can.

Trois Pistoles is awesome, so is Terrible.
